About Lebanon, TN
First things first, we’re here to properly teach you how to pronounce Lebanon. If you want to blend in with the locals, you’ll need to know we say “Leb-nin” rather than “Leb-a-non” which is often followed by an, “Oh honey, you aren’t from around here, are ya?” Lebanon’s historic town square and community feel will draw you in with local shops, family-owned restaurants, breweries, and more.
DINING & SHOPPING
The picturesque town square in Lebanon is often referred to as the vibrant heart of the town. If you’re wanting a dinner date night on the square, you’ll find local eateries such as Town Square Social, Cedar City Brewery and Basic.Eatery, with a handful of other options coming soon! Just around the corner from the square, you can get the yummiest pizza in town made by our good friend Doug at Tenn Lakes Brewery!
Lebanon, TN is also the home of Cracker Barrel! The historic town has a plethora of family-owned restaurants not on the square as well, including the classic Snow White drive-in, Sammy B’s, the delectable Shop Springs Creamery, and more.
When it comes to shopping, there are countless options of locally owned shops in Lebanon such as Wilkie’s Outfitters for the outdoor lovers and multiple boutiques on the square.
As far as grocery shopping goes, Demeter’s Common is a local grocery store located on the square, Ferguson Farms offers amazing locally grown meats, veggies, and more, Seven Cedars Butcher Block offers a variety of items, plus the farmer’s market gives you the opportunity to purchase even more locally grown goods.
RECREATION
When it comes to recreation, Lebanon, TN offers something for everyone. When you’re north of I-40, you’ll find yourself close to the Cumberland River and everything that lake-life has to offer.
South of I-40 you’ll find the Cedars of Lebanon State Park, which has hiking trails, picnic areas, and more. Throughout Lebanon you’ll also find the Don Fox Park, which has everything from a massive playground, shaded walking trail, and wading pool for the little ones.
If golf is your thing, be sure to check out the Lebanon Golf & Country Club, and Five Oaks Golf & Country Club. Get in a workout, shoot some hoops, or go for a swim at the Jimmy Floyd Center.
Take a walk on the Cedar City Trail, bring the kids to play at the Cairo Bend Park, stroll through Fiddler’s Grove Historic Village, or enjoy a picnic on the campus of Cumberland University.
In August, be sure to check out the world-famous Wilson County/TN State Fair! During the summer months, Lebanon offers a “Rock the Block” free concert series, plus there’s a large selection of local ball fields and community sports leagues to take advantage of.
Lebanon is home to the Capitol Theatre and is only a short drive to the Stardust Drive-In Theatre in Watertown.
In the winter, you can’t miss the Dancing Lights of Christmas!
For the history buffs, Lebanon is home to the former Castle Heights Military Academy, Wilson County Veterans Museum, and multiple historic tours. You can even hop on the WeGo Public Transit (train) into Nashville for a day of exploring Music City!
